A Message from the Principal - Mrs. Rebecca Harms
Welcome to Crossroads School!  We are looking forward to another exciting and successful school year!  Crossroads Elementary School opened its doors to educating children in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade in 2007.  Since then our enrollment has grown to more than 850 students.  We have also recently added additional Transitional Kindergarten classes.  We believe that a child's education is fostered by the school and families working together to provide a learning experience where the students will excel.  Crossroads parents are an important part of our school.  Remember that children whose parents are involved in their child's education perform better in school.  We would like to extend an invitation to you to become an active partner in our school by volunteering your time in the classrooms, attending your child's parent-teacher conferences and programs, and becoming an active member in our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  Below are a few examples of the programs we offer:

Art, Band, & Music
Grades 1-5 will have art and music classes twice  a month throughout the year.   Fifth graders have the opportunity to participate in our district band program.

English Language Advisory Council
Our English Language Advisory Council plays an important role in the education of our students learning English.  The council discusses the academic progress of English learners and advises the School Site Council.  The council meets throughout the year, a minimum of four times.  If you are interested in being a member of the Council, watch for information via the Wednesday folders or at Back to School Night.

Spanish InterpretationAvailable Thursdays from 2-4p.m.
Crossroads has hired a
Spanish interpreter to help our Spanish speaking parents/guardians.

Educational Services

 Latino Family Literacy Project
Parents and/or adult family members learn the importance of establishing a family reading routine at home.  Both parents and schoolage children learn English vocabulary, grammar, and conversation.  Childcare is available for children over 3 years of age.  An invitation to participate will go home in your child's Wednesday folder when classes are ready to begin.
Computer / Library / Music/Art
Students in grades 1-5 participate in computer, library, art and music classes.  Students in TK/Kindergarten participate in library classes.  Fifth graders have the opportunity to participate in our district instrumental music program.
